At Frank Diaz Passing Academy, development is not random.
It is intentional, structured, and built around communication with both the athlete and the parent.
What to Expect In The 6-Week Program

This first call serves as an introduction and an opportunity to understand the quarterback as both an athlete and a person. During this discussion, we identify the athlete’s short-term and long-term goals, whether that includes improving accuracy, increasing arm strength, earning a starting role, or preparing for the next level of competition.
-
After the first week of training typically consisting of two sessions; we schedule a follow-up conversation to review the initial evaluation. During this call, Coach Diaz discusses what was observed during training, including mechanical strengths, areas that need refinement, and habits that may be limiting the athlete’s performance.
This conversation is an important step in the process because it provides parents and athletes with honest, constructive feedback early in the training cycle. We will also explain the specific drills and training methods we will use to address these areas and help the quarterback improve. The goal is to ensure that every athlete understands where they are today and what adjustments will help them take the next step forward.

Twice a week, we work with your quarterback from the ground up, starting with footwork, because as Tom Brady has proven, every elite throw begins with your legs and travels through your entire body. We teach quarterbacks how to generate real power through their hips, creating that spring-like energy transfer that produces velocity without putting unnecessary strain on the arm. From there, we build clean, efficient throwing mechanics that are repeatable, consistent, and built to last an entire career. What truly separates good quarterbacks from great ones is anticipation the ability to throw receivers open before they're even out of their break. Eli Manning built two Super Bowl championships on that exact skill, and it is something we develop intentionally in every session. We combine elite mechanical training with film study so your quarterback doesn't just throw better they think better. A quarterback who understands defensive schemes, manages critical situations, and makes smart decisions makes every player around them better. The quarterbacks who earn opportunities at the next level aren't always the most physically gifted; they're the most prepared. Frank Diaz Passing Academy is where your quarterback gets prepared.
-
As a parent, you've watched your quarterback put in the work. The early mornings, the late practices, the dedication they bring to their team. But here's the truth. Physical talent only takes a quarterback so far.
What separates the quarterbacks who move on to the next level from the ones who don't isn't always arm strength or athleticism. It's football intelligence.
That's exactly what our Virtual Film & Coaching Sessions are designed to develop.
We sit down with your quarterback and we teach them how to think the game. We break down situational football so they understand why certain decisions have to be made in critical moments not just reacting, but anticipating. We identify the specific plays and concepts where they need a deeper command, and we build that understanding rep by rep. We expose them to defensive schemes so that when your quarterback steps under that center on Friday night, nothing surprises them.
A smart quarterback makes the whole team better. They get their team into the right plays. They manage the game. They don't beat themselves.
We're not just developing your quarterback's arm we're developing their mind.
Because at the end of the day, the quarterback who understands the game at the highest level is the quarterback who earns more opportunities.
Let's give your quarterback that edge.

From the first call, we outline how those goals will be reached and what the training process will look like. Parents and athletes will gain a clear understanding of the structure behind the training, the expectations for development, and the specific areas we will focus on improving. This ensures that every family begins the program with clarity, confidence, and a shared vision for the athlete’s progress.
-
At the end of the training cycle, we hold a final recap conversation to review the athlete’s progress throughout the month. During this discussion, we evaluate how the quarterback has developed, which drills and techniques produced the best results, and what improvements have been made in mechanics, consistency, and game awareness.
This call also provides an opportunity for parents and athletes to ask questions about the athlete’s development, receive advice on continued improvement, and gain insight into next steps for their football journey. For families interested in the long-term path of the position, we are also happy to provide guidance regarding exposure, preparation for higher levels of play, and navigating the college recruiting landscape.
By maintaining consistent communication we ensure athletes, parents, and coach work together to achieve meaningful progress.
