At Frank Diaz Passing Academy, development is not random.
it is intentional, structured, and built around communication with both the athlete and the parent.
What to Expect In The 6-Week Program
Our process ensures that families understand exactly how their quarterback is progressing and what steps are being taken to help them improve. Every athlete enters a clear developmental pathway designed to maximize growth in mechanics, performance, and football IQ.
❋ First Zoom Call: Introduction and Goal SettingThe process begins with an initial conversation between Coach Frank Diaz, the athlete, and the parent. This first call serves as an introduction and an opportunity to understand the quarterback as both an athlete and a person. During this discussion, we identify the athlete’s short-term and long-term goals, whether that includes improving accuracy, increasing arm strength, earning a starting role, or preparing for the next level of competition.
❋ Collaborative EnergyFrom the first call, we outline how those goals will be reached and what the training process will look like. Parents and athletes will gain a clear understanding of the structure behind the training, the expectations for development, and the specific areas we will focus on improving. This ensures that every family begins the program with clarity, confidence, and a shared vision for the athlete’s progress.
❋ Week One Follow-Up: EvaluationAfter the first week of training typically consisting of two sessions; we schedule a follow-up conversation to review the initial evaluation. During this call, Coach Diaz discusses what was observed during training, including mechanical strengths, areas that need refinement, and habits that may be limiting the athlete’s performance.
This conversation is an important step in the process because it provides parents and athletes with honest, constructive feedback early in the training cycle. We will also explain the specific drills and training methods we will use to address these areas and help the quarterback improve. The goal is to ensure that every athlete understands where they are today and what adjustments will help them take the next step forward.
❋ End-of-the 6th Week Review & Long Term GuidanceAt the end of the training cycle, we hold a final recap conversation to review the athlete’s progress throughout the month. During this discussion, we evaluate how the quarterback has developed, which drills and techniques produced the best results, and what improvements have been made in mechanics, consistency, and game awareness.
This call also provides an opportunity for parents and athletes to ask questions about the athlete’s development, receive advice on continued improvement, and gain insight into next steps for their football journey. For families interested in the long-term path of the position, we are also happy to provide guidance regarding exposure, preparation for higher levels of play, and navigating the college recruiting landscape.
By maintaining consistent communication throughout the process, Frank Diaz Passing Academy ensures that training is never just a workout—it is a purposeful developmental experience where athletes, parents, and coach work together to achieve meaningful progress.
